Fortune in a Cup

Summer shorts…

Tasseography, the ancient art of reading tea leaves, dates back hundreds of years. Its roots began in Asia, the Middle East, and ancient Greece. Tea leaves are read from the sediment left at the bottom of a cup.

In the Western world, we grab a tea bag with an imprinted saying on the tab held for dunking. No interpreter needed.

Today I felt the need for a large cup of tea and used two bags. This is what I read.

Socialize with compassion, kindness, and grace.

May this day bring you peace, tranquility, and harmony.

Whichever order you read them, the words relate.

If you wish for peace and harmony, imbue your relationships with compassion and kindness.

If you extend compassion and kindness, your day, most likely, will be full of tranquility and harmony.

Tea leaves, a fortune in a cup.
